March Cover Release!

Oh my goodness it's March!

    Do you know what that means?! A little over a month until the release of my second book!
The Secret Vows is coming out on my birthday in April! And do you know something else?! I decided to do a cover release of the book! Right now!

    Surprise!!

Without further ado, I would like to welcome you to the cover of the second installment of the Fearless Series; The Secret Vows!

Sunday the 17th

Hola!

As you guys know, I've been editing The Secret Vows for awhile now. So far my first-edit drafts are done! I've gone through and fixed spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, and changed around some sentences and stuff in the plot. A couple friends that I go to school with also looked over it for me and helped edit.

I love them for doing that! I think I'd go crazy if it weren't for all their great advice!

Unfortunately, for me, the editing isn't done yet. :(

I'll be honest, editing isn't one of my favorite things to do. It can be really stressful looking back on work and trying to make everything perfect. But the outcome success is far better then then the stress of it all because of the well put together product.

So anyways, I've been going through the paperback proof copy and making marks and what not in it and then going back on my computer document and changing them. (The computer document is what is sent in to the publisher to be made into the book.) Right now I'm probably only six chapter into editing in the paperback, and I just started going through and changing the document version.

It's time consuming, and I've been procrastinating a little, but I am pushing myself to get it done. Like I said, the edits aren't fun but they are very important in a book. :)

So I guess it's good that my winter vacation is this week. Now I have time to go through and edit my book like it needs.

*Sigh.*

That's pretty much it for The Secret Vows. I'm hoping to extend the book length a good 20-30 pages after all the edits are done. But we'll see where that leads us once I'm done with the editing process. :)

I've also got some news about it that I'm not quite ready to share right now, but I am excited about it.

Let's save that for another post. ;)

So I've been investing a lot of time recently reading some great books that I found on Goodreads!

So I've decided to share some with you that I think are a must read! These books really captivated me and made me craving more! I'll give the title, author, cover, and summary and a link to Goodreads too! That's how excellent these books are!

It's hard to believe a week has flown by already!

I have been working on self-editing the second installment of The Fearless Series; The Secret Vows since the beginning of January, and right now a I have a few people in my school working on it as well. If it weren't for their help I might be going mad trying to seek out all the spelling and grammar mistakes in it. Thus for, spelling has been all right but grammar...well I'm no whiz.

So anyways, The Secret Vows is being edited as we speak!

Once more I have edited the design of this blog. I know, I know, I can never seem to make up my mind as to when I'm leaving it be. But I love this design, and I think we've got a winner. On the side bar you can see that I have a five-chapter preview of 'Til Death Do Us Part on Figment.com. (Figment.com is the website that helped me get published. It's a site I hold dearly to me.) So if you're interested in reading part of 'Til Death Do Us Part, you can!

Also, I have added a 'share it' tab so you can share this site on Facebook and Twitter if you have one! If you do share it, I'd be so appreciative! I'd love more followers for this site, so feel free to share away! I've also added my editors blog to the side bar; There For You Editing. Writing Conferences

Hello once again my blog-buddies!

I haven't really been on a whole lot to talk, but I did switch the site design up a little bit as you can see. One day this site is going to look professional, but I'm still a newbie when it comes to site designing, so this will have to do for right now. :)

I wanted to talk about writing conferences in this post, because I was a part of a writing conference last March.

I have applied to two different writing conferences this year; The Pen in Hand Writing Conference that is held in Little Falls, New York and the Breadloaf Writing Conference that is being held in Middlebury, Vermont.

Guess What??

Guess what guys???

So last weekend I finished writing the [first] draft of The Secret Vows! I know what you're thinking; "The first draft??" Well my reply to your thoughts (and yes--sadly--I'm communicating with your minds, lol) is, yes, the first draft of The Secret Vows. You see, after publishing my first book ('Til Death Do Us Part) I now know how to better prepare myself for my second publication. I've learned a lot from my first publication, so this one will be ten times easier.

And here's how;

I've got News!

So I'm excited to say that I'm almost done writing The Secret Vows!

I've got about another ten or twenty pages to write, plus there will be a ten or twenty page preview of the third installment of the Fearless Series. (So really I've got about forty pages to go all together, but that's pretty damn good to me!)

I've also got a little surprise that I'll announce when the time comes, involving both 'Til Death Do Us Part and The Secret Vows! Getting excited yet? I know I am!

Unfortunately the surprise won't be announced until another week or two...but I promise it'll be worth the wait! (Well maybe not...??)

Anyways, I just wanted to fill you guys in quickly. I'll keep you posted. :)
